Voting was held between Saturday, March 22 and end at midnight, Sunday March 23. The winner was determined to be Suggestion B, project lead Pete Shinners. The ballots and code for tabulation can be found here.
Please read over each suggestion.
Voting will be done by the Condorcet method, one of the "fairest" methods for a single-winner vote. This sounds fancy, but it's really very simple. Just rank the suggestions, 1 being your favorite and 4 being your least favorite. Here is an example ballot from someone who thinks C is the best and B is his least favorite.
B : 4
C : 1
D : 3
You can send your vote via email either to shandy AT geeky DOT net or to pygame-projects AT seul DOT org. The winner will be announced on the list on Monday
If you have a suggestion for the project, please write about a page of description, and create a couple graphical mockups. We're trying to avoid the vagueness & misunderstandings that happened on the list, so please consider these points when writing your description:
Please note, this is not a checklist. There is no merit implied in any of the items, they are just here to avoid vagueness.
It would also be a good idea to include a FAQ as questions are answered about your suggestion on the mailinglist during the week.
Suggestions will be accepted until Friday, March 21. All suggestions received or posted on the mailing list will be linked to from here.
